Well it’s been far too long since the last newsletter. The past few months have been kinda crazy with new staff joining us and new ring styles nearing completion, not to mention the changing face of the world economy, but more of that later. On with the show...

The new kids...

El Diablo. Many of you will remember the first images of a wax carving we posted online around 5 years ago. Since that time Steve has spent a mind-boggling number of hours sculpting and re-sculpting, adding new features... and removing them, fine tuning the tongue, the flamed band, the sleeve, then finding the best finish combination to bring it all together. We think it shows.

Pacifika.The tattooed face is an art we are not unaccustomed too, given we are located in New Zealand. This design is our interpretation of a proud Pacific tradition.

Crown of Thorns. You’ll be seeing more of this theme in our work. It comes from a respect for the religious teachings of our youth, coupled with our capacity to now represent them under Deadringer.

Crazy 8-ball. This design is the result of a chance encounter during late night web surfing. It’s a wonderful place the www.

Crown Prince. This has come about from a piece that attracted so much attention we’ve decided to offer it in our regular range. The skull is based on our original Yorick design, now replaced by Yorick II.

Yorick II. Ever since Steve created the first half skull pattern he’s wanted to carve it again, so around 3 years later here is the result.

Now we can’t avoid this any longer so here it is. Over the past couple of years we’ve tried to ignore the increasing costs incurred in manufacturing our jewelry, but unfortunately it’s not possible forever so we have had to update our prices. If it’s any consolation, we don’t like it either.
